Ceramic Honing Rod / Steel
For re-aligning knife edges.
Use this Steel to restore sharpness and performance . Every knife will eventually lose its ultra fine edge. There are many reasons why an edge will lose its performance. Using your knife on marble worktops, glass chopping boards, opening boxes...
To restore the edge, regular honing is recommended. Remember even honing will take microns of steel off the blade and eventually the angle becomes too great to deliver good performance. This is when resharpening is needed.
